EAST LANSING, Mich. – Police provided an update at 11 p.m. Monday on the active shooter situation at Michigan State University.

Officials first reported that shots had been fired at 8:18 p.m. in the area of MSU’s Berkey Hall. A second shooting took place at the student union, Rozman said.
Five people were taken to Sparrow Hospital in total, authorities confirmed. Some of them have life-threatening injuries, according to Rozman.
Police continue to search for the shooter.
