Officials arrived at the business, where they discovered the suspect had fled the scene in an unknown direction.

An investigation revealed that Thomas Haddix, 77, and employees were involved in a dispute when Haddix produced a handgun and fired in the direction of the employees.

No one was injured during the shooting, but the employees were able to describe the 77-year-old man and his vehicle, which led police to a business on N. Dixie Highway near Heck Park in Frenchtown Township.

Officials responded to the area and arrested Haddix.

He was charged with assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearm on Thursday (May 25).

His bond was set at $25,000, and a GPS tether was ordered upon his release.
