FAA lifts ground stop order for Detroit Metro Airport

Here's how Detroit Metro Airport ensures runways are safe on snowy days

Departures to Detroit Metropolitan Airport were grounded Sunday due to severe thunderstorms, according to the FAA.

The FAA lifted the ground stop around 7:20 p.m. as storms started to move out of the Romulus area.

Severe weather was moving through Southeast Michigan on Sunday, impacting the Wayne County area near the airport.
