2 hospitalized after West Bloomfield Township firefighters rescue them from burning home

Residents placed under continued medical care

WEST BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich.Update: 2 rescued from West Bloomfield house fire die from injuries

Two people were hospitalized after West Bloomfield Township firefighters rescued them from a burning home.

Firefighters were called at 5:58 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, to a house fire on Red Coat Lane in West Bloomfield Township.

When firefighters arrived at the home, they were able to rescue two residents. The two residents were transported to a hospital and were placed under continued medical care.

The fire was extinguished and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Firefighters said there were working smoke alarms in the home.
