CANTON, Mich. – A 33-year-old man from Westland was killed Wednesday, Dec. 13, after being hit by two vehicles as he attempted to cross the road in Canton Township.
According to authorities, the man was attempting to cross Ford Road, near Haggerty Road, when he was struck by two westbound vehicles at about 5 a.m.

Police said he was not using a crosswalk at the time.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries. The intersection was closed as police investigated the incident, but has since reopened to normal traffic.
The investigation is ongoing.
