Woman charged with 17 felonies after Taylor bar shooting

TAYLOR, Mich. – A 34-year-old from Dearborn Heights is facing 17 felony charges after a shooting at a Taylor bar.

According to authorities, the incident happened at about midnight on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the R&R Bar located on Ecorse Road. Officers with the Taylor Police Department responded to the scene, where they were met by Allen Park police officers, who were following up on a carjacking suspect who stole a vehicle from 3 Nicks Bar in Allen Park within the hour. Police said the Allen Park officers heard several shots from inside the bar and set up a perimeter and the Taylor officers entered the bar and took the suspect into custody.

The only injury reported was the suspect, who reportedly injured herself due to a malfunction of the firearm.

Meghan Elizabeth Moore was charged with 17 felonies and one misdemeanor charge.
