Warmer-than-average temperatures to last through weekend in Metro Detroit

Rain chances return Saturday night and stick round into Monday

4Warn Weather – Not as frigid this morning compared to the last few days, but still cool. Temperatures hover around the freezing mark early before a nice warm-up throughout the day.

Plenty of sunshine this morning before clouds build into the afternoon. Temperature soar into the low 50s which will make this the warmest day of the week.

This weekend

Warmer-than-average temperatures last through the weekend with highs in the upper 40s. Cloudy on Saturday before precipitation chances return Saturday night and persist into Monday.

We will have rounds of showers on Sunday before a cooler air mass moves in which will change any lingering precipitation to a mix of even flurries on Monday.

Nationally, a strong storm will impact Florida on Saturday before moving up the East Coast on Sunday and Monday. Meanwhile, snow is forecasted over the Great Lakes and central Appalachians behind this system on Monday.
