Mayim Bialik says she’s out as a host of TV quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’

Mayim Bialik won’t be giving answers as a host of “Jeopardy!” anymore.

“The Big Bang Theory” actor posted news of her departure on Instagram on Friday.

“Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!” Bialik wrote. “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family.”

Salmonella outbreak linked to cantaloupes kills 4, sickens 302

The CDC is continuing the sound the alarm about a salmonella outbreak linked to cantaloupes that has sickened hundreds of people and killed four.

They are especially concerned because the illnesses are severe and people in long-term care facilities and childcare centers are most at risk for serious illness. People should not eat pre-cut cantaloupes if they don’t know whether Malichita or Rudy brand cantaloupes were used.

Family calls for safety changes after their loved one was hit, killed by 2 vehicles

A Metro Detroit family has called for safety changes after their loved one was hit and killed by two cars while crossing the intersection in Canton Township.

There was an emotional feeling as Ernest Lee, Jr.’s family and friends gathered during a vigil in remembrance of him

The vigil occurred on Friday (Dec. 15), where candles were lit for the 33-year-old on Ford Road, where Lee was killed early Wednesday as he tried crossing the street on Ford Road at Haggarty Road to get some snacks around 5 a.m.

Murder victim found in 1985 identified by Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday, Dec. 15, that they have identified a murder victim found in 1985 as Cheryl Coates.

According to authorities, her body was found buried in a shallow grave near the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and Stamford Road in Superior Township. The sheriff’s office believes she was killed between January 1984 and January 1985.
