SAGINAW, Mich. – A traffic stop in Saginaw resulted in Michigan State Police discovering roughly five pounds of drugs hidden inside the vehicle.
According to authorities, troopers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation near the intersection of Jefferson and Genesee avenues on Friday, Dec. 15, at about 9:45 p.m.

Police said a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of oxycodone pills hidden in the headliner and $3,000 and a backpack that contained a stolen handgun with an extended magazine, 1,377 grams of methamphetamine, 905 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of heroin.
The driver, a 29-year-old man from Saginaw, was arrested and lodged at the Saginaw County Jail.
