DETROIT – The Detroit Pistons set an NBA single-season record with their 27th straight loss Tuesday night. They are now the record holder for the longest single-season losing streak in the NBA.

Kory Nicholoff has seen the Detroit Pistons play in every NBA arena.
And the season ticket holder isn’t ready to throw in the towel cheering for the Pistons even after the team set an NBA record for the most consecutive losses in a season.
He attended Tuesday night’s game against the Nets.
Jones: “You mentioned that the boos were disappointing?”
Nicholoff: “Yeah, they are really disappointing. At a time like this, this is where they really need our support.”
“The fans are still showing up and showing out for a team that really isn’t deserving of it right now,” said Ku Khahil, the host of the podcast Locked on Pistons.
He is taking a much harsher stance on the Pistons than Nicholoff.
“Someone needs to go, some kind of change needs to happen after 27 straight games,” Khahil said.
But Khahil believes there is some hope.
“Yes, because of their young core. But I feel like that light is very dim right now because how bad it is getting,” he said.
Nicholoff is remaining positive.
“We haven’t gotten blown out 27 games in a row. You would think we are this terrible team. It is just we have had a couple things go wrong in each of these games that lead to loses. It is about correcting those couple of things that are going wrong,” he said.
The Pistons play the Celtics Thursday in Boston. The Celtics have the best record in the NBA.
