Iconic Dearborn burger joint has a new owner

A classic burger staple in Metro Detroit is now under new ownership.

Miller’s Bar in Dearborn, one of the most famous burger joints in the area, was acquired by Allie T. Mallad, a local businessman and entrepreneur, along with the shopping center property.

Mallad, a Dearborn native, said he’s committed to continuing the traditions of Miller’s Bar for years to come.

“We are privileged and honored to have the opportunity to continue the traditions of Miller’s Bar and the profound impact that Miller’s has had on the community. Everyone can expect to enjoy the same atmosphere and the same exact traditions that the Miller family created, I will continue that amazing legacy,” Mallad said in a statement.

Miller’s is known for their award-winning ground round burger. The restaurant first opened in 1941 along Michigan Avenue.
