Virtual Reality goggles are big with gamers, but it’s now being used as a tool to enrich the lives of senior citizens.
We spent this morning with local seniors who went hiking in Iceland, swimming with dolphins and hot air ballooning in Portugal, all without leaving the warm confines of an activity room.
They use a program called Rendever, similar to Oculus in the technology, but when they employ this new tool, what they find is it changes the lives of seniors, especially those in memory care. It’s also open to the public.
