NOVI, Mich. – Looking for a big screen to watch the big Detroit Lions-Los Angeles Rams playoff game this weekend? Perhaps a movie theater might suffice.
Emagine Theatres will be showing the Sunday, Jan. 14 Lions game for free at several of its locations across Southeast Michigan. Kickoff for the home game is at 8 p.m., but those interested in watching the game at the theater should arrive earlier.

Here’s how it’ll work:
- Participating Emagine theaters include those in: Canton Township, Farmington Hills, Novi, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak, Saginaw, Saline and Woodhaven.
- Tickets are free and are available on a first come, first served basis only.
- Tickets can be picked up at the box offices of participating theaters starting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14. Tickets cannot be picked up sooner.
- There’s a limit of eight tickets per group at the box office. If there is a group of more than eight people, more tickets can be picked up if everyone is present at the time of pickup.

Officials say concessions will be available for purchase at the theaters. Giveaways will be held at the participating theaters during halftime.
After finishing the regular season last Sunday with their 12th win -- a 30-20 victory over the Minnesota Vikings -- the Detroit Lions are gearing up for the first playoff run since 2017. This Sunday’s game is not only the first Lions playoff game to take place at home at Ford Field in three decades -- the team will also be facing off against their former quarterback, Matthew Stafford.
Kickoff for the big game is at 8 p.m. on Sunday. We’ll have live pre-game coverage on Local 4 starting at 6:30 p.m.!
