DETROIT – That deafening roar of Lions fans is almost the 12th man on the field this season.
Hundreds of people were left with ringing ears for hours after the game against the Rams, but how loud was it at Ford Field?
After three decades of waiting, there was a feeling only described as electric. That emotion brought a sound unheard before at Ford Field.
When the Lions brought Detroit its playoff win, fans brought the noise. It reached above 130 decibels -- the loudest game ever at Ford Field. That’s nearly the same volume as a jet engine from 100 feet away.
Aidan Hutchinson said the volume was confusing defense just because it was so loud on the field, but Amon Ra St. Brown said it was the best environment he ever played.
