Man shot at popular bowling alley in Allen Park

Victim listed in critical but stable condition

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – A man was shot at a popular bowling alley in Allen Park on Saturday night.

Allen Park police said the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Thunderbowl Lanes Bowling Alley on Allen Road just south of Outer Drive.

Officers administered aid to the shooting victim, a 34-year-old man, before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he’s currently listed in critical but stable condition. The victim has not yet been identified.

The shooter fled the scene, but police said they were working to identify a suspect and obtain an arrest warrant. Police have not offered information on what led up to the shooting.

Police said there was no threat to the public.
