Photos: Inside Oxford shooter’s home on day of, day after shooting

OXFORD, Mich. – Prosecutors on Tuesday shared dozens of photos of the Oxford High School shooter’s home on the day of and day after the shooting amid the involuntary manslaughter trial of the shooter’s mother.

Day four of the trial of Jennifer Crumbley, the mother of the sentenced Oxford shooter, was underway on Tuesday, Jan. 30, with a total of at least five witnesses expected to be called. Crumbley has been charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter for the four students murdered by her son on Nov. 30, 2021.

One of the witnesses called Tuesday was Detective Adam Stoyek, who works with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Shortly after the shooting occurred, Stoyek was reassigned from clearing classrooms at the school to secure the Oxford home where the shooter lived with his parents.

Stoyek arrived at the shooter’s house in Oxford Township to clear it of any civilians while authorities waited to obtain a search warrant. A search warrant was secured soon after, and law enforcement conducted a search of the home.

The shooter’s parents were permitted to enter the home once the first search warrant was completed. A second search warrant was executed at the home the next day. Photos taken during both of those search warrants were shared and described during Crumbley’s trial on Tuesday.

Below, we are separating the photos taken on the day of the shooting, and the photos taken the next day. We are also separating the photos by room. Note: The shooter had two different bedrooms, which are indicated below.

Oxford shooter’s first bedroom

In this room, authorities found items including shell casings on the nightstand, shooting targets above the bed, and an empty bottle of whiskey on the floor.

Oxford shooter’s second bedroom

In this room, authorities found a BB gun, among other things.

Outside

Authorities said they found carbon dioxide cartridges outside in the snow on the day of the Oxford shooting. These cartridges are associated with airsoft guns.

Parents’ bedroom

In this room, authorities found an empty gun case lying open on the bed, and an empty box of 9mm ammunition.

Authorities also found two more handguns locked in a gun safe in the parents’ dresser, with a box of ammunition and two magazines located behind it.
