OXFORD, Mich. – Body camera footage of police apprehending the parents of the Oxford High School shooter in Detroit in 2021 was shared in court.
The shooter’s parents, James and Jennifer Crumbley, are both facing four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with their son’s mass shooting.
The shooter pleaded guilty to 24 felony charges. In December, he was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole.
The couple was originally going to be tried together, but they asked for separate trials in November and a judge granted their request. The trial for Jennifer Crumbley entered its fifth day on Wednesday.

Prosecutors shared footage from a body camera worn by Detroit police Cpl. David Shaw. The recording begins at 1:33 a.m. on Dec. 4, 2021.
James and Jennifer Crumbley were both considered wanted and missing in the days after the deadly Nov. 30, 2021, shooting.
