The sixth day of the trial began with testimony from Lt. Timothy Willis, of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Willis was the officer in charge of the Oxford High School shooting investigation.

During Willis’ testimony, the prosecution showed a picture of the shooter’s backpack, which had been left in a bathroom next to room 258 before he began firing shots in the hallway.

Among those contents was the shooter’s journal, which can be seen to the left in the image above, just underneath the stall door.

Willis testified that within the journal, 22 pages had been written upon, and it appeared the shooter wrote from the back of the journal toward the front. He said there were disturbing drawings, such as a gun to a woman’s head and comparisons of ammunition.

Assistant Oakland County Prosecutor Marc Keast brought up six specific excerpts from the shooter’s writings, and Willis read them aloud for the jury.

WARNING: These excerpts are disturbing, and some of the pictures include profanity.

“I have zero help for my mental problems and it’s causing me to shoot up the f------ school,” the shooter wrote.

“I want help but my parents don’t listen to me so I can’t get any help,” the shooter wrote.

“My parents won’t listen to me about help or a therapist,” the shooter wrote.

“I want to shoot up the f----- school so badly,” the shooter wrote. “Soon I am going to buy a 9 mm pistol.”

“I’m about to shoot up the school and spend the rest of my life in prison,” the shooter wrote.

“First off, I got my gun,” the shooter wrote. “It’s a SP2022 SIG Sauer 9 mm. Second, the shooting is tomorrow. I have access to the gun and the ammo. I am fully committed to this now. So yeah, I’m going to prison for life and many people have about one day left to live.”
