TAYLOR, Mich. – A Dairy Queen in Taylor is offering to give away free weekly Blizzards and burgers to customers who buy a cake this weekend.

The Dairy Queen located at 8115 Telegraph Road is celebrating its 3-year anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 10 with a half-off deal. Customers who come into the store or through the drive-thru can receive half off their entire bill on Saturday.

But the fast food location is taking their celebration a step further with a so-called “cake buster deal.” According to the store, anyone who purchases a 10-inch cake at full price on Saturday, Feb. 10 will be able to receive a free small Blizzard or single Stackburger once a week for one year.

The cost of a round, 10-inch cake from this Dairy Queen appears to cost around $30-$35. Most Blizzards cost anywhere from $4-$7 depending on size, though some specialty flavors can be pricier.

Someone who buys a Blizzard for $5 once per week, for example, is spending around $260 per year on those soft-serve ice cream mixes. So, buying a cake for $35 to get all that ice cream for free would definitely be worth it! (If you live or work nearby, that is.)

It wasn’t entirely clear whether this Dairy Queen planned to stock up on 10-inch cakes for Saturday’s promotion. This location is open from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. every day of the week.
