Man accused of driving through St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, Port Huron Police Department gates

Authorities believe he was operating under the influence

PORT HURON, Mich. – A 24-year-old man from Kimball Township is facing multiple charges after he reportedly led law enforcement on a county-wide chase Thursday, Feb. 8.

According to authorities, Anthony Gigliotti drove through the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office’s employee gate at about 6:30 a.m. and then went to the Port Huron Police Department, roughly five miles away, and drove through its employee gate. The Sheriff’s Office said he led law enforcement on a county-wide chase, but deputies were able to stop his vehicle after about 20 miles near the intersection of Beard and Metcalf roads in Kenockee Township.

Gigliotti was arraigned Friday, Feb. 9, on two counts of fleeing and eluding, two counts of malicious destruction of police property, operating under the influence, concealed weapons violation and reckless driving.

His bond was set at $250,000 cash/surety.
