U.S. Coast Guard honors family, boat crew in Detroit River rescue Man fell 150 feet from Detroit-Windsor bridge
DETROIT – The United States Coast Guard gave special honors for two rescues that occurred last summer.
It was a typical summer day along the Detroit River when the George family saw a worker fall from the Ambassador Bridge.
The family ran over and got help from members of the JW Westcott Co. They were able to pull the man to safety.
Spencer Baker fell 150 feet from the Detroit-Windsor bridge on Wednesday (July 12) while he was working on it.
