Zingerman’s Bakehouse recalls Black Magic Brownies due to undeclared allergen

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Zingerman’s Bakehouse is recalling products because they may contain undeclared walnuts.

Anyone who has an allergy or sensitivity to walnuts may experience a dangerous reaction if they consume Zingerman’s Bakehouse Black Magic Brownie Individually Packaged and Zingerman’s Bakehouse Black Magic Brownie 4 Pack.

The recalled brownies were distributed across Metro Detroit through stores and Zingerman’s Mail Order website.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, the recall was initiated after a consumer reported finding a walnut in a Zingerman’s Bakehouse Black Magic Brownie, Individually Packaged, which did not list walnut on the label.

Investigation into the source of the walnut is ongoing. No illnesses have been reported.
