FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The owner of Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum has a message for those who have supported the business over the years.
“Thank you for caring, thank you for trying to do everything you have, but don’t be worried,” said Jeremy Yagoda. “We’ll be back.”
Yagoda was not at Monday (Feb. 12) night’s council meeting when Farmington Hills city leaders voted to approve a plan to demolish the Hunter’s Square Shopping Center that Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum has called home for decades.
“You know they call it progress, and progress is good, but it’s not good for everyone, unfortunately,” Yagoda said.
From what he understands, they can remain in their current location until January 2025.
Yagoda says he will use that time searching for a new space, one where he can make the arcade even bigger and better by having additional private space to host birthday parties and, of course, new machines.
He says the messages he’s received from people worldwide have meant a lot and would to his dad, too.
“A lot of people are posting on Facebook that he’d be rolling over about this, but not my dad,” Yagoda said. “My dad was the guy who had the mentality that if life hands you lemons, make lemonade and make the best of every situation that comes before you.”
