Alcohol suspected in crash that killed pedestrian in Clinton Township

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police in Clinton Township are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian Monday, Feb. 12.

According to authorities, a pedestrian was crossing Groesbeck Highway, just north of Ulrich Street, when they were struck by a 2007 Chrysler Sebring at about 8 p.m.

The driver of the Sebring remained on the scene. Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash for the pedestrian.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clinton Township Police Department at 586-493-7802.
