Man accused of lighting Macomb County mobile home on fire during eviction

He was recently extradited to Michigan

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 48-year-old man is facing multiple felonies in connection with a Harrison Township mobile home fire.

According to authorities, Malcolm Underwood set two fires in a mobile home he was being evicted from in June 2023. He was arraigned Wednesday, Feb. 14, on charges of arson of an insured dwelling, second-degree arson and preparation to burn a dwelling.

His bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety, no 10%. If released, he will be required to wear a GPS tether.
