Vice President Kamala Harris will travel to Grand Rapids to continue her nationwide “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour.
Harris will make her fourth stop of the tour on Thursday (Feb. 22), where she will highlight how organizers, advocates, and elected leaders in states like Michigan have worked to protect reproductive rights since overturning Roe v. Wade.

The tour started on Jan. 22, in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, 51 years to the day that Roe v. Wade was decided.
Harris continued the tour with a moderated conversation in San Jose, California, on Jan. 29. and a speech in Savannah, Georgia, on Feb. 6.
Vice President Harris is visiting states that are experiencing chaos and confusion after Roe v. Wade was overturned, states where women’s reproductive freedom is being protected and states with extreme abortion bans that threaten the lives, health, and wellbeing of women.
Harris is using the tour to hold extremists accountable for proposing a national abortion ban, highlighting the harm caused by extreme abortion bans, calling on Congress to restore the protections of Roe, and urging attendees to continue using their voices and stay engaged in the fight for fundamental freedoms.
The tour continues Harris’ leadership in the fight for reproductive rights.
Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Harris has held more than 60 meetings in 20 states while bringing together hundreds of elected officials, healthcare providers, faith leaders, students, and advocates on the frontline of the fight for reproductive freedom.
The trip to Michigan will be Harris’ fourth since she was sworn in.
