Police have charged Janero Garrett in connection with the deadly shooting of a 45-year-old man in Canton Township.
Elvin Carter, 45, was found shot to death in a roadway on Koppernick Road near Holy Drive around 1 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 29).
Officials have charged Garrett but not with homicide or murder.
Garrett was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and an additional charge of a second-offense felony firearm.
