The Lent period is underway for local Christians, which means many local churches will be hosting fish fries on Fridays for those not eating meat.

Lent started on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14, and runs through Thursday, March 28.

Luckily for us, the Archdiocese of Detroit has a whole map and website dedicated to finding fish fry events at churches across the Metro Detroit region. Every location has their own spin and process, so be sure to check on prices, carry out or dining in rules, and packages before you go. These fish fries are open to anyone.

Here are a handful of fish fry events around Metro Detroit in 2024:

St. Francis D’Assisi - St. Hedwig Parish (Detroit)
