It happened at about 4 a.m. at a home on Pennsylvania Street, near Gratiot Avenue. Police said she was asleep on a couch at the front of the house when multiple shooters approached the home and fired at least 23 bullets.

Detroit Police Chief James White confirmed that they have taken four people into custody and recovered a gun in connection with the shooting and that they have ties to an auto theft ring in the area. Police believe there are at least two shooters, but it’s unknown if the two in custody include the suspected shooters.

Detroit police said there were 15-20 people inside the home when it was targeted by at least two shooters.

Police confirmed the house was targeted by a shooting in December.
