HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – Michigan State Police seized more than 4,000 marijuana plants and hundreds of pounds of processed marijuana in a drug bust Wednesday, Feb. 21.
According to authorities, an investigation into a large-scale Metro Detroit marijuana grow operation began in 2023. Police said they identified suspects and verified that medical and recreational licenses were not obtained before executing a search warrant in Highland Park.

Police said they seized more than 4,000 marijuana plants, 213 pounds of processed marijuana and 362 pounds of drying flowered stalks. Michigan State Police estimate the value of the drugs seized to be $6.3 million.
