The transition to electric vehicles has hit a speed bump due to lower customer demand.
People have big questions, and on Tuesday night (Feb. 27), there’s some clarity in a new study comparing the costs of fueling an internal combustion engine and charging an electric vehicle.
It’s a tough comparison to make. Miles per gallon don’t equate to miles per kilowatt easily, so Patrick Anderson of the Anderson Economic Group devised a way to look at it.
He calls it purposeful miles and uses 100 of those as the measure, and whether gas or electric is cheaper depends on a couple of things.
