Police search for women involved in Macomb County dog theft

The 35-pound beagle shepherd mix escaped from his yard in Mount Clemens

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office is asking people to be on the lookout for two women and a dog they took without permission.

Officials say “Peanut,” a 35-pound beagle shepherd mix, escaped from his yard in Mount Clemens.

While his owner was out searching for him, Peanut returned home and was held there by a friend of the owner.

Police say the two women who’d been following Peanut grabbed him away from the owner’s friend before taking off in two vehicles, a silver SUV and a black Ford F-150.

It’s now been nearly three weeks, and Peanut’s owner is desperate to have him back.

If you know who the women are, please contact the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
