HARPER WOODS, Mich. – Brown water and service disruptions are possible after a water main break in Harper Woods.

Officials said the break is in the area of 20026 East 8 Mile Road. Repairs will begin around noon after tree removal, and they’re expected to take about 3-5 hours.

The rustling of sediment in the lines could cause brown or discolored water. Residents are asked not to drink the water, wash dishes, do laundry, or shower if the water is discolored.

After repairs are finished, residents should run faucets until the water is clear.
