Tip leads police to Wayne County motel where woman missing for 7 years was being held

Michigan State Police on Monday found a woman who had been missing since 2017, thanks to a tip from the woman’s stepmother.

On Monday, Feb. 26, special investigators received a call from the missing woman’s stepmother, saying she had heard from her stepdaughter for the first time in seven years. On the phone call, the stepdaughter said she was being held against her will at a motel.
