Police seek person of interest linked to house fire on Detroit’s west side

No injuries were reported

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking information regarding a person of interest linked to a house fire on the city’s west side.

The incident occurred on Wednesday (Feb. 21) at 11 p.m. in the 1500 block of Kendall Street when a man walked onto the porch of a residence and poured an accelerant on it.

Officials say he then proceeded to light it on fire and fled the scene on foot.

The Detroit Fire Department extinguished the fire, and officials say no injuries were reported.
