Police say the homeowner arrived home to find an unknown suspect in his home. The homeowner confronted the man, who fled before officials could arrive.

Officials say they were able to identify a potential suspect and present the case to the Monroe County Prosecutor, where a 2-count felony warrant for home invasion 2nd degree and felony firearm was issued for a 32-year-old man named Joshua Doll of Monroe.

Doll was located on Thursday, Feb. 22, and arrested on a felony warrant. During the arrest, valuables were located.

It is unknown where the valuables came from, but additional evidence was collected from Doll during his arrest.

On Feb. 23, Doll was charged in 1st District Court, where he was given a $25,000 cash or surety bond.

Sheriff’s deputies were able to comb through evidence linking Doll to a home invasion incident that occurred on Feb. 5 in the 4000 block of Jackman Road in Ida Township.

Detectives were able to return some stolen property to the victims. The second case was referred to the Monroe County Prosecutor, where Doll was charged with another count of home invasion 2nd degree.
