A Michigan eatery was just named the best small town restaurant in the state.
Taste of Home released their list of the best small town restaurants in every state. To find the restaurant that took home the trophy in Michigan, you’ll need to drive 170 miles west of Detroit, over to Rockford, to visit Herman’s Boy.

Herman’s Boy is a bakery, cafe, deli, smokehouse, restaurant and store, offering up all sorts of goods, while serving as a community staple gathering place.
Herman’s Boy has been around for more than 120 years, according to its website.
