36-year-old driver arrested after police chase exceeding 100 mph in Metro Detroit

The driver who was exceeding speeds of 100 mph during a police chase along in Metro Detroit has been arrested.

The driver who was exceeding speeds of 100 mph during a police chase along in Metro Detroit has been arrested.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (March 5) at 1:45 a.m. as police tried to initiate a traffic stop on Woodward Avenue.

Officials say the driver engaged in evasive maneuvers, disregarding multiple red traffic signals before being intercepted in Pleasant Ridge.

Officials say by using coordinated efforts, they were able to arrest a 36-year-old from Detroit on charges including fleeing and eluding police, operating a vehicle under the influence, and possession of a stolen vehicle, which was reported stolen approximately 20 minutes before the incident.
