Police search for car, man who approached student walking home from bus stop in Bloomfield Township

Student said man did not speak to them

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Bloomfield Township Police Department is searching for a suspicious man involved in a “Stranger Danger” incident regarding a student walking home from the bus stop.

The stranger danger incident occurred on Tuesday (March 5) in the area of Spruce and Woodbank drives.

Officials say a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s with a black mustache approached them, wearing a hood over his head while driving a silver or grey car.

Police say the man holding a cell phone stuck his arm out the window toward the student. He did not speak to the student before leaving on Woodback Drive toward Maple Road as the student ran to their home.

The silver or grey vehicle is believed to be a Honda Civic, Accord, or similar in style, bearing a white Michigan license plate with blue letters.
