Pontiac man accused of shooting, killing 42-year-old man

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A Pontiac man is facing multiple felony charges in the murder of a 42-year-old man.

Malcom Robert Boykin, 55, has been charged with murder in the death of Charlie Isaac Odneal, 42, of Pontiac.

Investigators said Oakland County deputies were called to the Night Riders Motorcycle Club in Pontiac for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they determined that Odneal had been shot and was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Detectives identified Boykin as the suspect and he was arrested at a nearby motel on Wednesday, March 6. He is currently being held in the Oakland County Jail.

Boykin has been charged with assault with intent to murder, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and multiple counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He was not given bond.

He is expected back in court on March 19 for a probable cause conference.
