Police search for man involved in critical assault on Detroit’s east side

Victim was listed in critical condition

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking information regarding a person of interest linked to a critical assault on the city’s east side.

The incident occurred on Monday (March 11) at 3:18 a.m. in the 300 block of Michigan Avenue, where officials said a man was assaulted by the suspect, who fled the scene after the incident.

The victim was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital by medics and was listed in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a man, possibly in his 20s, wearing a mask and a “Detroit Lions” hooded sweatshirt.
