ROYAL OAK, Mich. – A pop-up bar paying homage to one of the longest running comedies on TV has opened in Oakland County.

Paddy’s Hideaway Pop-up bar, an ode to Paddy’s Pub in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” opened last week in Royal Oak, and will be open thru the month of March, “where the spirit of Philly’s most dysfunctional gang comes to life in a St. Patrick’s Day pop-up bar experience.”

If you aren’t familiar with the show, “Always Sunny” follows a rag-tag group of bar owners and friends as they scheme to, usually, try and make money, doing anything but actually running the bar.

With its 15th season in 2021, the series became the longest running live-action American sitcom, and the longest running series ever on cable TV. Season 16 premiered last summer.

Paddy’s Hideaway is located below Bandit Tavern at 419 S Main St at 5th Street. They’re open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and will be open on St. Patrick’s Day, of course.
