Triple shooting leaves 2 dead, 1 injured inside Westland home

Westland paramedics transported the injured victim to the hospital

WESTLAND, Mich. – A triple shooting has left two people dead and one person injured inside a home in Westland.

The shooting occurred on Monday (March 11) in the 2300 block of Deerfield Court at 6:15 p.m.

Westland Police Department reported to the home after they were notified of shots being fired.

Officials say when they arrived at the home, they were notified that residents were injured inside.

Police said they used forced entry to the home and discovered three victims, two dead and one injured.

Westland paramedics transported the injured victim to the hospital. There is no word on their condition.

The Westland Police Department is actively investigating this incident, and there is no danger to the public.
