DETROIT – A 23-year-old from Farmington Hills was killed in a crash in Detroit on Tuesday night.
The crash happened at 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, on the eastbound lanes of I-96 near Scotten Street.
Michigan State Police said the 23-year-old man from Farmington Hills was driving a motorcycle at a “high speed” when he rear-ended a Ford Fusion that was in the right lane. The driver of the Ford Fusion lost control, struck the embankment, and rolled over.
The motorcycle skidded eastbound and the rider fell off the motorcycle. The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The driver of a Chevy Bolt, who was also traveling east, struck the Fusion, and rolled over in a separate crash. The driver of the Chevy Bolt was taken to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
