A wrong-way driver has crashed into two vehicles on I-75 near Gratiot Avenue in Detroit.

At the late hour of 10:15 p.m. on Thursday (March 14), authorities were inundated with distress calls about a 31-year-old driver recklessly navigating the wrong way.

Police say the Royal Oak resident is suspected of driving impaired and was arrested.

F/Lt Mike Shaw said, “We are extremely lucky that this crash resulted in no injuries to anyone involved. But this crash does serve as a reminder to those celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this weekend to not get behind the wheel impaired.”
