Police say a customer entered the store, interrupted the robbery, and caused the Heflin to flee in a silver SUV.
Officials said they were able to identify the license plate while using the Flock system, and on Thursday (March 21) at 7:02 p.m., Heflin’s vehicle re-entered Ferndale.
Officers said they conducted a traffic stop, where they discovered evidence that connected Heflin to the armed robbery. He was arrested without incident.
The 24-year-old was charged in 43rd District Court on one count, felony armed robbery.
Heflin was given a $100,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear next on April 4 at 1 p.m.
