An estimated $1.04 billion Powerball jackpot will be up for grabs, tempting players to spend a couple dollars on a longshot chance at instant riches. The prize is the worlds ninth-largest lottery prize behind earlier drawings of Powerball and Mega Millions, the other nearly nationwide lottery game. The prize on the line Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 has grown so massive because there have been 32 consecutive drawings since someone won the jackpot. WHITE LAKE, Mich. – A South Haven lottery club got a life-changing surprise when they found out they’d won a $100,000 Powerball prize weeks after the drawing!

The two-person IDK J&H lottery club matched four white balls and the Powerball – 14-16-42-48-64, PB: 14 – in the Oct. 14 drawing to win a $50,000 prize. Thanks to the Power Play, the prize was multiplied to $100,000. They bought the winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.

“Me and my boyfriend have been playing the Lottery together for about a year,” said the club’s representative, Haley Honcharenko. “We were sitting at home one night and decided to buy a few tickets online. We had forgotten all about the tickets, so we didn’t realize we’d won until weeks later.

“We were at the bar, and I logged in to my account to see if I had any Lottery coupons. When I saw my balance was $100,000, I didn’t believe it was real at first. I started the claims process just to see what would happen, and that’s when I knew we had really won!”

The lottery club visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim their prize. They plan to save their winnings.
