CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A water rescue was underway Thursday night for a jet skier in Lake St. Clair in Macomb County.
Officials said two jet skiers left Brandenburg Park in New Baltimore and were due back around 7 p.m. but had not returned.

The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, triggering an immediate and extensive search in the Anchor Bay area of Lake St. Clair, with a boat and helicopter rescue operation being launched.
Officials said they were able to rescue a 19-year-old from New Baltimore from the water. The 19-year-old was initially unresponsive and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Chesterfield Township police were still searching for 21-year-old Jonathan Kloss. Officials said he is a white man from Chesterfield Township who had been missing since 8:45 p.m.
Kloss and his companion were riding their jet skis onto Lake St Clair’s Anchor Bay from the boat launch at Brandenburg Park in Chesterfield Township.
The jet skis were found capsized and floating in Anchor Bay off Brandenburg Park, police said.
Neither of the jet skiers were wearing life jackets.
