Officials say the resident had been the target of an investigation into the sales of multiple narcotics.
Once seen leaving the home, homeowner Antonio Billy, 38, was stopped by DTF members.
Officials say they noticed Billy was hiding something in his mouth through conversation, but after several commands, he finally spit out a baggie containing crack cocaine mixed with fentanyl.
A search of his home revealed a dealer’s quantity of crack cocaine and fentanyl, scales, and packaging material.
The 38-year-old was charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl/heroin, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and destruction of evidence on Friday, March 29, where his bond was set at $25,000 cash/surety.
Simultaneously, a deputy made what he thought was a simple traffic stop on I-69. A border patrol agent arrived to assist due to the number of occupants in the vehicle when the BP Agent happened to be a K9 handler.
Officials say the K9 performed a sniff around the vehicle and hit on a particular area, causing a search to occur, which revealed over 26 grams of methamphetamine, and the investigation was turned over to DTF.
The investigation led to the arrest of Bobby Villarreal, 42, of Port Huron. He was charged on possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and obstructing police after providing a false name.
Bond was set at $25,000 cash/surety for Villarreal.
