Johnsonville recalls over 35K pounds of turkey sausage due to foreign material concerns

Salm Partners, LLC, Recalls Johnsonville Polish Kielbasa Turkey Sausage Products Due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination (FSIS)

Salm Partners, LLC has promptly recalled approximately 35,430 pounds of Johnsonville Polish Kielbasa Turkey Sausage due to foreign matter contamination.

The recall occurred on Friday (March 29) because the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Services (FSIS) believed the sausage contained foreign materials, specifically pieces of rubber.

The turkey kielbasa sausages were produced between Oct. 30-31, as seen below.

The problem was discovered after the firm received complaints from consumers who reported finding rubber pieces in the ready-to-eat turkey kielbasa products.

No confirmed reports of adverse reactions or injury due to the consumption of these products have been made. However, if you have any concerns, Local 4 encourages you to contact a healthcare provider.
